When Grocon Pty Ltd was assigned the task to carry out renovations at the MCG, they wanted to make sure that the floor in the exclusive members area was perfect. With the building design incorporating large open plan areas and floor to ceiling windows, any imperfections in the subfloor will detract from the appeal of the finished flooring installation.
With undulations of up to 30mm in the existing floor, Grocon Pty Ltd needed a product that could be installed from feather edge to any thickness and still allow the installation of the timber flooring next day.
ARDEX K15 was the obvious choice. The unique chemical-drying formulation allows for quicker drying, without the shrinkage that is typical with hydration-drying formulations. The timber flooring was installed the following day without the need for any moisture protection.
