When mixed with ARDEX 25 , ARDEX K10 is suitable for the conditions associated with this type of aluminium decking.
For the deeper sections (30mm) ARDEX K10 was mixed with aggregate filler. A final 2-3mm layer of neat ARDEX K10 was used for smoothing out the uneven curvature of the decking, especially in the wheel house. ARDEX K10 provided an excellent smooth flat finish with minimal trowelling.
Whilst ARDEX K10 is flexible and durable enough to absorb the vibrations of the metal decking, the product is also hard enough to resist indentations from pedestrian traffic.
Given the fast turnaround of ARDEX K10, this ferry was back into operation in no time plying the waters of Sydney Harbour.
