ARDEX Achieves 7.7% Emissions Reduction in Toitū Verified Report

11/06/2026

Auckland: ARDEX New Zealand has announced a significant step forward in its sustainability journey, achieving a 7.7% reduction in gross greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2025, alongside a 5% reduction in carbon intensity per tonne of product sold.

The results, independently verified through the Toitū Carbon Reduce Certification Programme, reinforce ARDEX New Zealand’s commitment to measurable, transparent progress towards a lower-carbon future.

Ronald Rose, Commercial Director for ARDEX New Zealand, highlighted the significance of the business’s progress in measuring and reducing its operational emissions, while also looking ahead to broader reporting capabilities.

“Achieving meaningful, independently verified reductions across our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions is a significant milestone for ARDEX New Zealand. It reflects not only the effectiveness of our operational initiatives, but also the strength of having robust measurement frameworks in place through the Toitū programme.

“We’re particularly proud of the discipline and transparency this process has brought to our sustainability journey, giving us confidence in the data and the progress we’re making.

“Importantly, this is just the beginning. We’re actively working towards expanding our reporting capabilities and are excited to be in a position to share our Scope 3 emissions in the near future—providing a more complete view of our environmental impact across the value chain.

“Localising production has also been a major contributor to reducing our emissions footprint. By manufacturing certain liquid products locally rather than freighting them from Australia, we’ve significantly reduced transport-related emissions.

“Beyond that, we continue to drive practical improvements across the business—from rethinking packaging and pallet configurations to reduce freight inefficiencies, through to improving inventory management. More efficient shelf-life rotations have also reduced the amount of product sent to landfill, which is a critical step in minimising waste and supporting our broader sustainability goals.”
